The last thing central New York needed was more rain. But, on Monday, the area got hit once again with not just sprinkles, but heavy rainfall, and more is forecast Tuesday and Wednesday.

Because of the ongoing flooding situation Herkimer County officials on Monday night had closed all roads in southern and central Herkimer County, however as of 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, that ban had been lifted, according to County Chairman Vincent Bono.

But, Bono says there is a travel advisory in place and residents need to use common sense when they are out on the road. First and foremost, he says drivers should slow down.
