The American Heart Association held its Go Red For Women Luncheon at Daniele's in New Hartford today.

Women attending the event were able to get health screenings, learn lifesaving information and participate in an interactive expo.

More than 470 attended the event, which raised over $112,400 for the Go Red For Women campaign.

This year’s luncheon honored former Passion Speaker Chrissie Hughes. Chrissie survived multiple strokes and open heart surgeries, but passed away in November from an unrelated heart problem. Her daughter, Meaghan Bahr, shared her family’s story and urged women to visit a cardiologist to find out their risk.
