The Adorino Construction Company is helping those in need during this weekend's Saint Patrick's Day festivities by holding its annual food drive.

Bernie Adorino says he encourages those attending this Saturday's parade to bring a canned good with them to donate. All food will be collected by Adorino's staff, then donated to Mother Marianne's West Side soup kitchen.

Spectators may also pitch in money to help contribute to the cause.

Though the food cans are allowed, Utica Police still remind people that coolers, back packs and other bottles are not allowed along the parade route.
