Boonville Veteran Begins Climb To Benefit Sitrin
Vietnam Veteran and Boonville resident Paul Fortin began his nine-day journey to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro today to support the Sitrin Health Care Center’s Military Rehabilitation Program.
During his expedition to the top of the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, Fortin will climb more than 19,300 feet above sea level.
For every 1,000 feet he scales, Fortin is asking for a donation of $1 to his team, Boonville VFW Post 5538.
They'll be participating in Sitrin’s Stars and Stripes Run~Walk in September.
