Reid Boucher beat Linus Ullmark a minute and half into overtime to score the game winner as the Utica Comets knocked off the Rochester Americans 2-1 at the Adirondack Bank Center on Wednesday night. 


Utica won it's third straight overall, and defeated the Ameriks for the fourth time in five meetings this season.

Thatcher Demko stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced. Ullmark finished with 31 saves.

Utica's first goal was scored by Jayson Megna, coming as the Comets were shorthanded.

Rochester's lone goal was scored 4:38 into the second period and have the Amerks a 1-0 lead.

Game note: Rochester was assessed zero penalties during the game; Utica was hit with four two-minute minors, three of which were called against Joseph LaBate (slashing, tripping, interference).

Utica will now play a home-and-home with Bridgeport, hosting the Sound Tigers on Friday night then hitting the road to play at Bridgeport on Saturday night.
