UPDATE: With some 12,000-16,000 absentee and military ballots to be counted, is the NY-22 Race over yet?

Several media outlets on Tuesday night including CNN declared Democrat Anthony Brindisi the winner in New York's 22nd Congressional District.

Brindisi held a more than 5,000 vote lead over incumbent Republican Claudia Tenney with approximately 90% of districts reporting. However, as numbers continued to update late Tuesday, the race was growing closer.

When all 565 of 565 district reported, Brindisi had a roughly 1,400 vote lead.

It is not known at this time how many absentee ballots are out in the 22nd district.
