The President and CEO of the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired will be stepping down.

Rudy D'Amico has announced plans to retire on August 31st of next year.

D'Amico joined CABVI in 2003 as Vice President of Operations.  He was named President and CEO in May of 2008.

Since taking the reigns, CABVI has added over 100 employees, bringing total employment to 270, half of whom are blind.

"I've been privileged to lead CBAVI, to have a role assisting consumers with vision loss achieve countless personal milestones" said D'Amico

The CABVI Board of Directors says the search for D'Amico's successor will begin soon.
