The Washington Nationals' bullpen is likely going to have nightmares about Mets' slugger Yoenis Cespedes. The power-hitting outfielder once again delivered the key hit, a go-ahead two-run homer, to help the Mets comeback for a 5-3 win to complete a three game sweep and extend their NL East lead to seven games.

Unlike Tuesday's six-run rally, it happened suddenly on Wednesday. Nats starter Stephen Strasburg cruised through seven innings, having allowed just three hits and one run, on his way to 13 strikeouts. But, pinch hitter Kelly Johnson lead off the eighth by taking Strasburg deep to tie the game. Kirk Nieuwenhuis - Tuesday's hero - struckout before Curtis Granderson single and knocked Strasburg from the game. Washington manager Matt Williams brought in beleaguered reliever Drew Storen to face Cespedes - who promptly took Storen deep into the Mets bullpen making it 4-2 New York.

It put Strasburg on the losing end, and made a winner out of Jacob deGrom.

Bryce Harper provided nearly all of Washington's offense - two solo-homers and a double.

The Mets move to Atlanta to open a four-game series with the Braves.
