Utica native, Proctor High School graduate and current WNBA player Brianna Kiesel was honored today at Utica City Hall.

Mayor Robert Palmieri presented Kiesel with a plaque before a group of friends and family.

Keisel says to have a plaque on permanent display in the City Hall lobby is an honor.

Kiesel, who played college basketball at Pittsburgh, will begin her second season in the WNBA with the Dallas Wings this year.

She was the fist pick in the second round of the WNBA draft by the Tulsa Shock.  Kiesel averaged 5.1 points a game and started 15 games in her rookie season.
