Comets, Captain Bancks Agree to 2-Year Extension

Utica Comets' captain Carter Bancks has signed a two-year contract extension, the team announced Thursday. 

The 28-year-old Bancks has played the last four seasons in Utica and has been the team's captain for the last two. The Canadian born forward has played 247 games with the Comets - the third most in team history. He also ranks fifth on the Comets franchise list for goals and assists, and fourth for total points.

Last season he tallied 17 points (4-13-17) in 45 games with Utica.
