Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins’ Nick D’Agostino scored a
power-play goal with 7:58 remaining to play to give his team the only goal
they would need to defeat the Utica Comets Saturday Night at Mohegan Sun
Arena.

Goaltender Joe Cannata made 18 saves en route to the loss for the Comets.

After a 29 minute delay to the start of the game, the first period ended
just the way it began. Scoreless. The Comets outshot the Penguins 13-6, but
could not get one past Hartzell.

Listen to Don Laible's Saturday night report from the game:

The second period saw more of the same, as the period ended deadlocked at
zero. For the period, the Comets outshot the Penguins 6-3, for a two period
19-9 shots advantage.

12:02 into the third period the Penguins would find the back of the net.
After two delay of game penalties on the Comets, and an extended power play,
Nick D’Agostino took a feed from Anton Zlobin, and fired a shot from the
point that beat Cannata high stick side. Nick Drazenovic picked up the
secondary assist.

The Comets are back in action Sunday afternoon to face-off against the Lake
Erie Monsters, in an afternoon tilt that starts at 3 p.m.
