The Utica Comets earned three points on the weekend, including a victory over the rival Syracuse Crunch on Saturday.

The Comets opened the weekend with a tough OT loss to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday night, as Bridgeport's Parker Wotherspoon beat goalie Ivan Kulbakov with just 36 second remaining in the extra period.

But Utica bounced back for a 3-2 win over the Crunch on Saturday. Kulbakov made 28 saves, with Comets' goals coming from Tanner Kero, Jonathan Dahlen and Brendan Gaunce.

The Comets are home for three games this week, including another tilt with Syracuse on Wednesday night. Utica is also home Friday (vs. Binghamton) and Saturday (vs. Belleville).
