Comets Take 2 in Toronto, Utica Goalie Gets First Wins
The Utica Comets earned a pair of victories in Toronto this weekend following a home loss to Charlotte on Friday night.
Reid Boucher had a huge weekend, tallying five goals and an assist in the three games. He leads all of the AHL in goals thus far with eight (8), doubling the next best total.
Utica avenged it's opening night loss to the defending champion Marlies, skating to wins of 7-4 and 5-3. Ivan Kulbakov - a 22-year-old goalie from Belarus - made his team debut for the Comets on Saturday and earned his first career AHL win. He followed it up with career victory number 2 on Sunday.
The Comets are off to a 3-2-0-0 start, currently in a four-way tie for first in the North Division.
UP NEXT: Utica will host the Rochester Americans on Wednesday night and the Cleveland Monsters on Friday. They play in Syracuse on Saturday night.
