Community Foundation Boosts Q Center Services
A $30,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties will allow ACR Health in Utica to expand services at its Q Center.
The Q Center provides services to LGBTQ youth in the Mohawk Valley.
Wil Murtaugh, Executive Director of ACR Health, says the grant will be used to hire an Educator-Care Manager.
"Youth come to the Q Center with many concerns," said Murtaugh. "The Community Foundation grant made it possible to hire a Care Manager to connect youth services they need to establish a stable future."
The Q Center serves about 50 to 60 local youth a month.
