The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties has named a special projects coordinator.

Joseph Wicks of Bouckvillle will coordinate Community Foundation work in initiatives like Mohawk Valley Health System's new Downtown Utica hospital.

Wicks will act as a community liaison to promote regional integration of the MVHS project and provide property relocation assistance for nonprofit organizations and businesses.

He'll also work with Community Foundation partners to develop reuse plans for certain MVHS facilities.

Wicks has more than a decade of experience in program development, community outreach and grant management.

"We're pleased that Joe is working to advance initiatives that will make a significant difference in our community," said Community Foundation President/CEO Alicia Dicks. "His experience and unique talents have already helped advance The Community Foundation's collaborative work in support of the new MVHS healthcare campus."
