The recently opened Cheesecake Factory at Destiny USA in Syracuse has failed two county health inspections.

UPDATE: The Cheesecake Factory was inspected again on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2014 and passed, according to reports.

A recent inspection in late March found violations that can lead to illness, including improper temperature control for raw meat and servers touching 'ready-to-serve' meals with their bare hands, according to Syracuse.com:

The article indicates there have also been four complaints from customers:

Two of the customers who complained suspected they got sick after eating at the restaurant, and two others complained about undercooked meat -- in one case chicken on a salad and in another case a pork chop, Zimmerman said.

Kevin Zimmerman is Onondaga County's environmental health director.

The Cheesecake Factory had to pay a $250 fine after the second inspection, but at this point is not facing closure - the article says:

The restaurant has not been closed. Inspectors routinely ensure that any violation that could lead to illness is corrected before they leave the premises, Zimmerman said. Otherwise, the restaurant would be closed.

The article includes full details on the inspection.
