Distracted Driving Blamed for Car/ Bus Crash

Endicott Police say a Village woman was distracted by the top coming off her coffee cup, spilling the drink on her, when her car hit a school bus.

Authorities accuse 33-year-old Nicole Addicott of running a red light at East Franklin Street and North Nanticoke Avenue at around 9 a.m. June 16 and hitting the side of the small Serafini Transportation school bus.

There were five students on the bus.

Addicott was taken to the hospital for evaluation but no one on the bus was injured.

Addicott was ticketed for running a red light.
