Dolgeville Man Arrested on Drug Charges in Herkimer Park

A Dolgeville man is facing drug charges following an early morning arrest at the Maytan Fishing Site in Herkimer.

Police say on Friday morning during a patrol of the parks they located a vehicle parked at the fishing site on South Washington.

As the officer approached the vehicle, the driver exited, but was quickly detained.

During an interview it was determined 23-year-old Channing Burdick, a parolee, was found to be in possession of various drug paraphernelia as well as a hypodermic needle containing heroin.

He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Needle.
