Charges are being filed in two separate off-road vehicle crashes on the same day in Delaware County.

Sheriff’s officials say at around 2:45 p.m. August 15, 2015 41-year-old Christopher Ross of Franklin was charged with drunk driving, operating an all terrain vehicle on a public roadway, driving without a helmet and speeding.

Authorities say Ross crashed the ATV on Clark Road in Masonville.

At 5:30 p.m., a utility terrain vehicle crash in the Town of Walton also resulted in a drunk driving charge.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies say 24-year-old James Fontana of Ardsley, New York crashed the UTV on Left Pines Brook.

Deputies say Fontana is charged with three counts of reckless endangerment, felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of point-one-eight or higher, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, speed not reasonable and failure to stop for a stop sign.
