DWI Charged Following I81 Crash

A Castle Creek woman is accused of drunk driving after Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies discovered evidence that her vehicle had been involved in a crash.

Authorities say 30-year-old Erin Wormsley was arrested at 1:19 a.m. April 23, 2016 after she was found in the parking lot of the Mirabito gas station on Castle Creek Road with the vehicle leaking oil and with the airbag deployed a short time after authorities received a report of a crash in Interstate 81 North just south of Exit 7.

Officials say Wormsley was charged with two counts of drunk driving and moving from a lane unsafely.

She has been ordered to appear in Town of Chenango Court at a later date.
