Fiberoptic Internet Company, GoNetSpeed Rep Boasts High Speed
There's a new, lightening fast internet service coming to the area and their rep says the service is now being installed in New Hartford. GoNetSpeed offers fiberoptic lines and state of the art speed with prices that are significantly lower than cable, according to Chris Brooks of GoNetSpeed, who appeared on WIBX's Keeler Show on Thursday.
Brooks touted the service that offers constant speed, unlike high speed cable, for both uploading and downloading. Brooks added, that unlike Spectrum, if you order 1 gigabit service, that's exactly what you receive. Fiberoptic lines offer constant speed directly for the subscriber, unlike cable internet where subscribers share with people using the service in their neighborhood.
Brooks says his company employees about 40 local workers who have been installing in the area over the last year. He said they don't use contractors, so anyone working on the project is an employee.
GoNetSpeed is offering introductory specials with free installation and free modem. However, pricing is in the range of $49.99 for 500 megabyte service to $99 for 2 Gigabit service, which is offered for both download and upload speeds. GoNetSpeed also offers a telephone service.
Oneida County Legislator Tim Julian was in-studio on Thursday and he raved about the service. Julian said the price is awesome, and unlike cable Internet service, he has experienced no slow speeds or outages. Julian has been a customer for about a year.
Brooks says the company expects to be fully up and running in the area with all municipal installs complete within about a year.
