Flooding Closes a Portion of River Street in Oriskany

The New York State Department of Transportation has issued a travel advisory in the Village of Oriskany.

Due to the heavy rainfall in Central New York there is a Flood Watch in Effect for many areas of Northern and Southern Oneida County.

As a result of some flooded areas already the State DOT has closed a portion of River Street in Oriskany from Route 69 to Route 49.

The travel advisory closing that section of the roadway is in effect until further notice.

Mohawk Street between Main Street in Whitesboro and River Road in Marcy is also closed due to flooding.

UPDATED 3:27 p.m.- Mohawk Street) between Main Street Whitesboro and River Road in Marcy is now open to traffic.
