Former NSA Director Speaks At Utica College
The former head of the National Security Agency will be at Utica College this afternoon for a talk titled "Cybersecurity in a Dangerous World."
Admiral Mike McConnell served as Director of the NSA under Presidents George W Bush and Barack Obama from 2007 to 2009.
McConnell says cybersecurity is increasingly becoming a major concern for businesses and government agencies, citing the breaches at Target and Equifax.
He says cybersecurity programs like the one at Utica College are critically important. McConnell says if you take all the cybersecurity graduates nationwide and add them up, only about ten percent of the need is being satisfied.
McConnell's visit is being hosted by the Organization of Justice Studies at Utica College.
