Four community organizations are launching an online, social media effort to advance their support of Mohawk Valley Health System's downtown Utica hospital project.

Officials say their intent is to supplement Mohawk Valley Health System's efforts in reaching out to the community and providing another source for accurate information about the project.

“We view this as an opportunity to continue the effort we spoke about in October, one in which our four organizations speak with one voice in support of this important effort,” said John Swann, executive vice president of The Community Foundation.

MVHS unveiled the site plan for the new downtown hospital last week.
