HOOSICK, N.Y. (AP) — Emergency crews are working to clean up the scene of a freight train derailment near the border of New York state and Vermont.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office says three propane tankers derailed and rolled over in Hoosick Wednesday night. Officials say no injuries or leaks in the tanks were reported.

State authorities asked residents in the vicinity of the derailed train to leave their homes as a precaution while New York State Police and environmental officials investigated.

A state Department of Transportation inspector is working to determine the cause of the derailment.

Crews remained on scene throughout the night Wednesday.
