The New York Giants have had an awful run over the last two seasons, posting losing streaks of at least six-games in each campaign with sporadic hot streaks reminiscent of a contender.

Their endless plague of injuries hasn't helped any, but Sunday's 25-24 loss to the previously 1-10 Jacksonville Jaguars was embarrassing.

In typical G-Men fashion - of late - New York came out firing on all cylinders. Three second-quarter touchdowns gave them a 21-0 lead and it appeared their current losing steak would end at six and Tom Coughlin would look to lead his club to a strong finish in the final month with the hope of an 8-8 season. Not so fast.

Coughlin's old team forced a pair of fumbles in the second half that resulted in two defensive scores and the largest comeback win in Jacksonville's franchise history, sending New York to an ugly loss, their seventh straight.

Rookie Blake Bortles had 194 yards and a score in the air and ran for 68 more on the ground to earned his first fourth-quarter comeback win, a 55-yard drive to setup Josh Scobee's game winning kick (43-yards) with under 30 seconds to play.

Just minutes earlier, after the second fumble returned for a touchdown, Eli Manning led a potential game winning comeback drive, capped with a 33-yarder from kicker Josh Brown that put New York ahead, 24-22, late in the fourth.

Manning threw for 247 yards, a touchdown and no picks but lost two fumbles - one for a touchdown. New York's inconsistent offense hammered the ball down the field with Rashad Jennings in the first half - he finished with 91 yards and two scores against the team that drafted him in 2009. Jennings, though, got hurt in the second half and the ground attack faded. Add to that an inability to hold onto the ball and you have the team's worst loss in recent memory.

Injuries did play a role here, but it is still no excuse. Geoff Schwartz,  playing for injured starter Justin Pugh left on a cart with an ankle sprain. His replacement - James Brewer - then left with a concussion.

The lone bright spot, again, was rookie Odell Beckham Jr who caught seven passes for 90 yards to lead the team. Giants fans hope he'll make meaning full catches in bigger game sometime in the near future.

Big Blue (3-9) will visit the Titans (2-10) in Week 13. Jacksonville (2-10) plays host to Houston (6-6).
