Flags on all government buildings will be lowered to half staff tomorrow in honor of a Fort Drum Soldier who died in Afghanistan on June 9.

Governor Cuomo made the announcement today in honor of Specialist Terry Hurne of California who was wounded in a non-combat incident and later died of his wounds.

"On behalf of all New Yorkers, I extend my sincere condolences to the family, friends and fellow soldiers of Specialist Hurne," Governor Cuomo said. "We join them in mourning the loss of this soldier and we will remember his service to our nation with pride."

Hurne was assigned to the 710th Support Battalion of the 10th Mountain Division's 3rd Brigade Combat Team.
