Griffo And Brindisi Welcome Ride Sharing To Upstate New York
Griffo says the people of the Mohawk Valley will finally be able to take advantage of the affordable and reliable transportation that ridesharing services like Uber have brought to cities across our nation and world.
Brindisi says it will help boost attendance to events at the Stanley and other cultural venues, to Saranac Thursday, and to many area restaurants and nightclubs, and in turn will help our regional economy.
Uber spokesman Craig Ewer says not only will ridesharing services like Uber help boost local economies by employing drivers and making it easier for people to visit local events, venues and bars or restaurants, but ridesharing can also make New York State communities a safer place to live by helping to reduce drunken driving in cities where it operates.
Griffo and Brindisi also demonstrated how the Uber app works by requesting an Uber driver to pick them up outside of the Stanley.
