Herkimer Woman Arrest on Assault Charges

Herkimer Police have arrested a Herkimer woman following reports of a physical altercation.

On Sunday morning police responded to the 100 block of Park Avenue. As Officers arrived, they located a victim with visible injuries. Following interviews and an investigation police arrested 29-year-old Shaina Hidalgo.

It was learned that Hidalgo allegedly confronted and attacked a 55-year-old female victim. The victim was struck several times and fell to the ground causing injury. It was learned also that all of this was done in the presence of a 12-year-old child.

Hidalgo is facing charged for Assault in the third degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
