Herkimer Woman Facing Welfare Fraud Charges

A Herkimer woman has been arrested on welfare fraud charges by the Herkimer County Sheriff's Office.

43-year old Tricia Chabot is accused of fraudulently receiving over $20,000 in benefits which she was not eligible to receive.

Chabot is charged with two counts of welfare fraud, grand larceny and offering a false instrument for filing.

She'll appear in City of Little falls Court at a later date.
