Mohawk Woman Arrested On Welfare Fraud Charges

The Herkimer County Sheriff's Office arrested a Mohawk woman for various Welfare Fraud charges.

Officials say, 26-year-old Sarah Martinelli allegedly fraudulently received in excess of $3,300 worth of benefits she was not entitled to over a period of 12 months.

As a result, Martinelli was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, Grand Larceny and other charges.

She will appear in the Village of Herkimer Court at a later date.
