The Mohawk Valley Health System board has released a letter stating that the claims made by the 'anti-downtown group' are false.  Particularly, the statement on the group's Facebook page claiming that board members contacted local businessman Jim Brock and asked him to fight the location.

In a letter addressed to Brock, each of the hospital board members signed a letter that stated that the assertion that two or three board members contacted him to launch a movement against the downtown location "is not true."

The letter to Brock signed by each board member states, "We have no idea why you are using this tactic as the information is not true."  The letter went on with a request by the board that Brock and #NoDowntownHospital stop using this rhetoric as it does "not represent any of the MVHS Board members or our organization."

WIBX reached out to Brock and he was unavailable for comment.
