Ilion Mayor John Stephens is reacting to the news that the state of Tennessee is courting Remington Arms.

Stephens says that Remington has a strong investment in the community with a Mohawk Valley workforce that is second to none.

Remington Arms Considering A Move Away from Hometown Ilion

Remington Arms, America's oldest gunmaker, seems to be considering a move away from the Herkimer County Village where it all started nearly 200 years ago. A report filed today in The Tennessean newspaper claims that Remington executives have been touring several sites in Nashville with the intention of moving a portion or all of their operations from Ilion.
