Ilion Police Identify Man Shot In Home Invasion Robbery

Ilion Police have released the name of the man who was shot dead during an armed home invasion robbery at 39 Richfield Street on Tuesday.

He's been identified as 24-year old Dasean Chastine of Utica.

Authorities say the homeowner, James Richards, shot Chastine in self-defense.

Police say the incident remains under investigation and they are unable to release any further details at this time.
