Two big-name New York Giants are about to hit the free agent market.

Both defensive end Justin Tuck and wide receiver Hakeem Nicks will get to see how valuable other teams think they are beginning next month - teams and players can talk and negotiate deals starting March 8th, but can't officially sign until the 11th.

ESPN.com reports GM Jerry Reese spoke with reporters about the possibility of losing either to free agency:

Reese, saying he prefers to take a wait-and-see approach with regards to the market, also mentioned linebacker Jon Beason in that category.

Beason was acquired via a trade with Panthers early last season. He became an instant impact player and leader for the defensive unit.

All of Tuck's nine NFL seasons have been with the Giants, amassing 60.5 sacks including a team high 11 in 2013 to go along with two Pro Bowl appearances.

In 2010 and 2011, Nicks had more than 1,000 yards and 75 receptions in each season, plus 18 total touchdowns. Since, he's been hampered by nagging injuries and had back-to-back years with under 60 grabs and fewer than 900 yards, with just 3 total TD's.

Tom Coughlin Gets One-Year Extension

The New York Giants and Tom Coughlin have agreed to a one-year extension keeping the coach under contract through the 2015 season. It's an appropriate adjustment considering Ben McAdoo, the team's new offensive coordinator, signed a two-year deal this offseason.
