Keeler in the Morning Show Notes for Monday, September 30th
VIP Club Members: Keeler's Gripe of the Day
Cover up Whether it is or it isn't, the recent 'Tortured Kitten story' in Whitestown where Judge Sullivan's son Joseph has been changed with animal cruelty smells of a coverup. There are many questions that need to be answered:
-Why was the story squelched and kept out of the news for more than 2-months?
-Why does it seem that the evidence doesn't seem to match the charge?
-Why does Whitestown Police believe that the original case and another 'copycat' case are not related, when descriptions of the two alleged crimes are so similar?
-Why didn't the District Attorney's Office act earlier?
These are all questions that need to be asked when we reach out to Whitestown Police.
Stupid Miley Cyrus: The former Hannah Montana
It turns out Miley Cyrus' mouth isn't just the hole where her tongue chills out between posing for photos. Funny words also come out of it! That's according to Rolling Stone, which has published excerpts from the extensive interviews the magazine conducted with Miley for their latest cover story. "The interviews covered way more ground than we could fit in the story, so we've gathered some of the best parts," the online piece says. Want some wisdom a la Miley? Here you go:
- On her VMAs performance: "I know what I'm doing. I know I'm shocking you... When I'm in that teddy bear suit, I'm like a creepy, sexy baby."
- On race and pop music: "I didn't really realize it, but people are still racist. It's kind of insane. Like if I had come out [at the VMAs] with all white-girl dancers and done the f**king 'Cha-Cha Slide' -- same outfit, same everything -- it wouldn't have been bad."
- On drugs: "I think weed is the best drug on earth. One time I smoked a joint with peyote in it and I saw a wolf howling at the moon. Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better. And Molly, too. Those are happy drugs -- social drugs. They make you want to be with friends... I really don't like coke. It's so gross and so dark. It's like what are you, from the '90s? Ew."
- On being in the spotlight: "I said I was going to take a year off before I made this record. But it's hard to take a break. It's almost depressing when you're not working. You're so used to people calling your name, and that energy, and when you don't have it anymore..."

Legislator Dave Gordon is Pushing for reinstatement of the Humane Officer position
In light of all of the animal abuse cases, legislators are asking for the reinstatement of a Humane Officer, under the Oneida County Sheriff's umbrella. The position would be called an "Animal Cruelty Investigator." Opponents say the having this position filled would not have prevented any of the current animal cruelty cases.
