Local Inventor Gives Us ‘Leg Up’ on Dangerous Ticks
A science teacher at Union Springs near Auburn, NY might have figured out a way to rigorously reduce the tick problem in Upstate New York and it might turn out to be a money maker. Jason Dean, originally of Canastota, has created a prototype 'tick Sweeping' machine that al out completely eliminates the tick problem in the average back yard.
Dean, appearing on the Keeler Show on WIBX this week, demonstrated his machine which will be scaled down over the next few years and is expected to become a multi-million dollar idea. It's ultimately planned to be a small unit that connects to the front of the average lawn mower and will safely collect and kill dangerous ticks.
