Meteorologists say it could be a top 10 all-time snowstorm for the Northeast. But, here in Central New York there isn't much to worry about.

The Weather Channel's Ray Stagich - who joins us each morning on WIBX First News with Keeler in the Morning - says the Utica-Rome and Oneida County area likely won't see more than an inch or so of snow.

Snowfall is expected further east in Albany and south in the Hudson Valley, where double digit accumulation is possible, Stagich said.

The brunt of the blizzard is forecast for New England and parts of the New York City area where 50-plus mile per hour wind is expected to mix with upto two feet of snow.

Stagich warns those winds could reach hurricane force - in the 75 mph range.
