Man Arrested For Allegedly Stealing And Selling AK-47
Little Falls police say they have arrested two men in connection with the theft and sale of an AK-47 assault rifle.
After an investigation it was discovered that David Bennett, 28, of Newport allegedly stole the AK-47 from a residence and sold it to Nicholas Curri, 29, of Little Falls.
Both Bennett and Curri are not legally able to possess a firearm or assault rifle due to prior convictions.
Bennett was charged with criminal sale of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, and grand larceny. He was sent to the Herkimer County Jail on no bail.
Curri was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and released on ankle monitoring.
