ELLENBURG, N.Y. (AP) — State police say a northern New York man has died after his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on a road near the Canadian border.

Troopers say 29-year-old Patrick Drown of Ellenburg Center was driving in the Clinton County town of Ellenburg around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday when he collided with a truck that was backing into a driveway of a business.

Police say Drown was ejected from his car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will be conducted Wednesday morning at the hospital in Plattsburgh.

The truck driver, who's from Maine, wasn't injured.
