Marietta Teen Killed in ATV Accident in Spafford, New York

A 15-year old boy from Marietta, New York has been killed in an apparent ATV accident.

New York State Police were called to an area behind 2124 Collard Road in the Onondaga County town of Spafford near Skaneateles on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at approximately 4:07pm.

There they found Nickolas A. Santee dead after what troopers believe was a collision involving his Honda Fourtrax four-wheeler.

The ATV was located down a steep grade off of the trail, just west of Santee's body.

In a release State Police say their initial investigation indicates that the four-wheeler hit a tree, ejecting Santee.  The boy was riding alone.

The investigation is continuing and an autopsy is scheduled to be performed by the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office.
