Mayor Robert Palmieri officially kicked-off Utica Restaurant Week at City Hall on Friday by sampling food from some local restaurants.

Nearly 50 locally owned restaurants are offering special menus for the week, which runs through June 16th.

Palmieri says it's a creative way to showcase the amazing food and culture the city has to offer.

The public is encouraged to take photos and hashtag #UticaRestaurantWeek for a chance to win gift cards from participating restaurants.

Menus can be viewed at uticarestaurantweek.com.
