Merger Vote Passes In Ilion And Mohawk, Districts Will Merge

The merger between Ilion and Mohawk has passed in both school districts.

In Ilion, the final tally was 1131 for the merger and 456 against.

In Mohawk, the final result was 961-411. In total the vote was 2092 to 867.

Residents also voted for a seven member school board with each member serving a three year term.

The merger will take effect on July 1st.
