Best TV Series: “The Bear” is Back, Show’s Makeup Artist is Local
Michael Buckley and Ignacia Soto-Aguilar, in Utica for a family wedding, spent time on WIBX's Keeler Show recently. Ignacia is one of Hollywood's best make-up artists, and she's the head make-up person on the Hulu Series, "The Bear" - which had its fourth season drop earlier this week.
So far, the reviews are excellent - including our own Willie Waffle who said he has one episode left after binge watching this week and he loves it.
Soto-Aguilar is an Emmy Award nominated make-up artist who handles the make-up re-creation on several shows including make-up on Hulu's The Bear's Jeremy Allen White and supporting actress Jamie Lee Curtis.
"She (Jamie Lee) has become a close friend," said Soto-Aguilar referring to Curtis, who plays the mother of Carmy Berzatto, The Bear's main character played by White.
Meanwhile, Buckley, who goes by Mickey Drama in the professional wrestling world, and Soto-Aguilar talked about their careers on Tuesday with the Keeler Show. Buckley grew up in Utica and got his on-camera start on a local television show called, In Focus, which was produced by his Uncle Paul Buckley, Utica's Film Czar. Along with parts in television, movies and commercials, Buckley is part of a pro wrestling league based out of New Orleans.
