
Underage Drinking Initiative in Oneida County Nets 2 Violations
New York State Police and the New York State Liquor Authority conducted an underage drinking initiative on Tuesday, June 24, throughout Oneida County. Six locations passed the test and were found to be in compliance, however there were two locations that were ticketed for serving minors.
On June 24th, 2025, the New York State Police conducted the Underage Drinking Initiative. As a result, the following locations were checked and found in compliance:
Circle K, 1510 Main St, Sylvan Beach, NY
Dollar General, 1600 Main St Sylvan Beach, NY
Byrne Dairy, 16 Main St, Camden, NY
Fastrac, 24 Main St Camden, NY
Dollar General, 35 Main St, Camden, NY
New England Style Market, 4644 Rome Taberg Rd, Taberg, NY
According to State Police there were two locations that didn't pass the test and employees were charged with serving underage buyers.
The following locations were found NOT to be in compliance with the laws dealing with the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 21:
Sylvan Spirits, 1714 Main St, Sylvan Beach, NY
As a result, 73-year-old Diana M. Hansberger, from Blossvale, NY was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st degree (PL 260.20) and Prohibitive sale of alcohol to a person under twenty-one years old (ABC 65-1).
Cliff’s, 4094 St Rt 69, Taberg, NY
As a result, 31-year-old Daniel H. Wossner Jr, from Lee, NY was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st degree (PL 260.20) and Prohibitive sale of alcohol to a person under twenty-one years old (ABC 65-1).
