The Department of Health and Human Services has awarded a more than $1.2 million dollar grant to Mohawk Valley Community Action for for local Head Start programs.

The funding was announced by Congressman Richard Hanna.

Hanna says the grant will support early childhood education programs.

Congratulations to Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency on this tremendous grant,” Rep. Hanna said. “MVCAA provides critical services to our community including its Head Start programs which prepare children of all backgrounds for school readiness.

MVCAA offers an array of services including emergency assistance, housing programs, and child development education through Head Start and Early Head Start.
