A number of Mohawk Valley-area high school lacrosse players are raising funds to travel and play in Germany this summer.

Tito Seoane - an assistant varsity coach of Rome Free Academy Lacrosse - is heading up a group of local athletes who will compete under the America's Team brand. He and some team members joined the Keeler in the Morning Show to discuss fundraising for the August trip.

It costs each player about $4,900 for the entire trip and includes travel, hotel stay and some food costs, Seoane said. With about 20 students expected to be on the team, Seoane says they're looking to raise over $90,000.

Seoane is recruiting local lacrosse players to join and said has spoken with students from Proctor High School, New Hartford, Whitesboro and RFA, he said.

The local group has launched a Go Fund Me Page (click here) to help with their money raising efforts.

The America's Team website says it believes in Changing Lives Through Sports, and hosts teams in five sports under the America's Team brand.
