New Hartford Traffic Stop Uncovers 7-Ounces of Cocaine; Heroin, Marijuana Found Too
What started as a routine traffic stop in New Hartford resulted in the discovery of a hidden compartment loaded with drugs inside the vehicle, NHPD said.
Police say John Linen Jr. was pulled over and found to be driving with a revoked license. The officer on scene also requested the assistance of a State Police K-9 unit due to the smell of 'burnt marijuana' inside the vehicle, NHPD said.
After the K-9 alerted officers that it was detecting the scent of drugs within the vehicle, it was transported to the New Hartford Police station officer say they found a hidden compartment containing 7-ounces of cocaine along with heroin and marijuana, a digital scale, several cell phones and money.
Linen was ordered to be held without bail on several charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation.
