
Help Crime Stoppers Find This Wanted Person of the Week
Mohawk Valley Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help in finding this week's Wanted Person of the Week, a Rome man on a bench warrant, according to New Hartford Police Department Investigator Patrick Sacco.
Police are looking for 43-year-old Matthew E. Cummings whose last known address was in the city of Rome. Investigator Sacco says Cummings is wanted on charges of Grand Larceny in the 3rd, PL 155.35. Police say, on May 13, 2024, the New Hartford Police Department received a complaint that Cummings collected over $6,000 as a down payment for a home construction project on May 4, 2023, Cummings subsequently failed to perform any work or refund the payment, according to police.

Cummings is currently wanted by the New Hartford Police Department Warrants Unit for the above Arrest Warrant issued by Town of New Hartford Court.
