Binghamton University Director of Athletics Patrick Elliott has that women's soccer head coach Sarah McClellan will not return for the 2016 season.  McClellan has been the head coach of women's soccer for eight seasons at BU and had served as assistant coach with the program for two seasons prior to that.

The Bearcats finished 3-12-2 this season and missed making the America East postseason playoffs.  Over the eight years as head coach McClellan's teams were a combined 57-74-14 and reached the postseason five times.   In 2009 the Bearcats advanced to the America East championship game.  Her teams earned NSCAA Team Academic Awards every season.

McClellan will be reassigned within the athletics department for the remainder of her contract which runs through December 2016.  The school has begun a nationwide search for a new coach.
